-- Solitaire --

The object of MOD 20 is to complete a tour in the shortest number of rounds.

A tour is started by throwing three dart and adding up the point. This will be your base number. Take your base number and MOD it by 20. This is your target number (between 0 and 19). In the next round you must aim for your target number. If you miss you target number then it rolls over and is the target number for the next round. If you hit your target then add up the points for all three of your darts for this round and get a new base number. MOD the new base number by 20 and get your new target number. Repeat this process until you MOD your base number by 20 and get 0 and your target. Once you get 0 your tour is over.

Notes:

It is possible to complete a tour in the first round, by hitting all 20s or adding up to 20 or multiple of 20. If you do this its called "Dead On." Pat yourself on the back.

To make the game more interesting start your first round off by throwing with your non-dominant hand, use a different grip, or aim only for the bulls-eye.

A general strategy for you to try is: once you hit your target number aim for regions that will add up to 20 so that you get 0 when you perform the MOD. Example: if your target is 15 and you hit 15 on your first throw the sum of your second and third throws must total 5. So, aim for two and three. Another Example: Target is 7, first dart hits 4, second hits 7, for the third aim for 9.

-- Race --

This version of MOD 20 is designed for two players.

Each player plays the solitaire version. The first player to complete a tour wins. Or if you think you really out class your opponent, see how many tours you can complete before they complete their first one.

For easy conversion over to a drinking game, the number of tours you complete before your opponent finishes one is the number of shots you have to take. Perhaps then you'll be on their level for the next game.

-- Duel --

This version of MOD 20 is designed for two or three players.

Each player plays the solitaire version. The first player to complete a tour wins. The twist is that after each round you swap/rotate target numbers. If you can't win, better make it hard for your opponent. Try playing duel with No Dust, but without Blackjack. You can win without completing a tour. If you are playing with three people and one of them gets locked out with a target number of 19 the other two continue to duel it out for the winner.
