What happened?
My urges to post a variety of interesting things, provide detailed information and opinions, and actually do it are three non-intersecting (potentially orthogonal) vectors. They just won't meet up. (I also have the irritating notion that the afor mentioned mathematical concept has some specific meaning in linear algebra or it's likes, but my numerically inclined, yet atrophied, brain can't remember.)
Variety - topics might range from the technical: my fav FireFox extensions and greasemonkey scripts to usage guides of applications like Google Reader, the personal: humorous events or documentary of my chronology, or even the intellectual: commentary of the arguments of free will (albeit from a unvalidated source a.k.a. Scott Adams) or possibly what makes religion so special. However, any attempt I make at variety gets derailed by on of the other two vectors.
Oh, an additional thought has stuck me. The key mathy thing I was unable to expound upon before might have been: the concept of using three orthogonal unit vectors to describe a three dimensional coordinate system used as a frame of reference. Because depending on how you define your frame of reference the contents of your problem may or may not make sense. If you nail the reference frame down the math becomes easy, then all that's left for you to do is convert back to the original coordinate system. This seems more akin to physics than the linear algebra that I was originally thinking. What did it have to do with mapping higher dimensional objects onto lower dimensional surfaces?*
Detailed info - I don't like fluff. I want to provide something that would actually help. Maybe make it witting or at least give it clever wording. Well I made my point, despite seemingly short and contradictory to my desire to include lots of details...
Lastly, the drive to do it - nothing lewd like Nike wants you to think, just motivation to act on my urges, again I am talking about clearly side-walk ideas, no gutter thoughts.
So if I think up a great idea the motivation to do something about it and the content necessary to express it are on holiday. If I click open the new post form there is no flow from my head to hands to keyboard to computer screen. And if I come up with the best details in the niftiest sentence I am not at the computer nor is it about anything I wanted to blog about.
I have come to guess that the reason why I am so incapable at the moment must have something to do with food. If my brain functions as a big system and the basis of that big system is (crap... I just shifted vectors again, I needed the details vector but it's gone)... maybe I was wrong, maybe I just need some sleep... uuug, maybe I'm not supposed to figure this one out. I do recall my need for a personal crack team of scientists. I am sure they'll be long at any moment.
* one medical consequence of thinking about these concepts is a vast and engulfing headache. But once the solution is found my brain hurricane is replaced with a echoing void. I can't even find the Wayne's World quote about Garth's head exploding, the one the studio tech says after Wayne leave Garth alone on camera... it would explain the feeling in my head very nicely.

Well, maybe now people can understand and sympathize with your lack of posting recently. We should really get you some 'Focus Factor'...maybe it would help with your orthogonal vector problem. :) You should also probably get more sleep and stop staying up so late messing with your computer, playing video/computer games, and watching TV.

This entry gave me a headache. I need some aspirin.

I had a headache when I wrote it so I suppose it will give you one if you don't have one.
