Embedded RSS Viewer

So I have been reading webnews and such and an idea came to me. I read lots of cool stuff and sometimes I want to share it. But most of the time I don't want to dedicate a whole post to some miscellaneous news article, nor do I want to take the time to collect several stories and make one consolidated news post.

If I happened to find a story that I like on digg.com then I can digg it and it will appear on my "news I've dugg rss feed". However, this doesn't cover storied I've read on other sites. I suppose I always could submit the story to digg myself and then through the RSS link above I'd have all my news in one place.

But this means you'd have to have your own RSS reader to read the news I found interesting. I think what I am actually looking for is a built in RSS viewer for my blog. If you are familiar with BlogRolling you'll understand the concept of an automated link manager. Basically I manage my blog buddies in BlogRolling and have one small BlogRolling code snip-et in my blog template. Then when you view my blog you get a list of all my blog buddies. I want a service similar to that, which takes an rss feed and with only a small code insert into my template displays it on my sidebar.

Any ideas?

Also, what do you think about blogs that record (with example text) "What I am listening to: AC Vents" or "What I am reading: Survivor's Quest" or "Mood: Not Intoxicated" ?
